After i switched to Windows Vista SP2, I found I miss & I love HIBERNATE function in Windows XP so much. Hibernate save my time from restart & let me continue my work much faster. However Windows Vista SP2have switch off the power option Hibernate, so even if you not using Vista HIBERNATE , there will be a Hiberfil.sys file the same size as your computers DDR RAM located on your Vista HDD directory

Click on Windows Vista’s Start button , in the Windows Vista SP2 Start Search box key in cmd. At the top of the Start menu (under the Programs header), you will see cmd.exe listed; right-click this entry, and from the context menu click Run as administrator or press theCtrl+Shift+Enter keys after you type cmd in Vista’s Start Search box

To re-enable hibernate support, run the command powercfg -H on from an elevated command prompt.

*To check whether your system support HIBRTNATE just key in powercfg /a from command prompt.
