If your computer restart fail or can’t POST, need not panic. It is possible that your cpu needs extra voltage boost. Reset your CMOS, and enter bios again. increase Vcore from 1.325v to 1.35v. Make sure you set ACC to auto. If it still doesn’t work, keep increasing Vcore to 1.4v.

If you are still having trouble, you can also try to bump up the CPU-NB voltage. from 1.2vto 1.35v.

*For Asus motherboards, do update your bios to the latest one. It fixes bugs & increase your success rate of unlocking AMD Phenom 550BE.

If the unlocking process still doesn’t work out, then you may consider reduce the multiplier . Reduse it by 1x and try to boot again . keep trying till you reach 10x. Tthis should be the last option, and is not worth doing as you are significantly lowering your AMD Phenom II 550BE cpu clock .

In my opinion, theAMD Phenom550BE unlocking process can works without a Vcore/Vcpu-nb boost. However, the voltage boost only needed to ensure the fourth core stable enough to boot into windows OS.
