Jailbreak iPhone 3.0 Firmware
Compatible list: iTouch 1G, iTouch 2G, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G,iPhone 3GS
This guide is for jailbreaking your device running 3.0. It is being written with the 0.8 release of redsn0w. In the event that redsn0w is updated, you can still use this guide provided there are no major changes to the procedure. At this moment redsn0w version 0.8 only jailbreaks firmware 3.0 so dont update to 3.1 just yet. to jailbreak iPhone 2.0 pls go here
What you need :
1. 3.0 firmware (if you are having older version , pls upgrade here first)
2. redsn0w 0.8
Jailbreak iPhone 3.0 Firmware step by step :
1. After jailbreak iPhone 3.0, use ultrasn0w to unlock.
2. do fresh restore before at very first place.
Step 1
Launch redsn0w 0.8
Step 2
Click Browse to select the correct ipsw file for your device.
*screen show: Processing firmware… followed by IPSW successfully identified.
Step 3
Click Next
Step 4
Install Cydia and Install Icy and click Next
Step 5
Follow the instructions below will bring iphone to Recovery mode
