If you are a Windows 7 user, sometimes you may face some problems with power management, since the battery does not last for more and does not work correctly in different power modes. So, here is a tip which will help in troubleshooting of such problems.
To handle such kind of problems Windows 7 has an application that is able to issue a report on the status of all these parameters to identify potential problems.
Go to start button of your screen and run Powershell in administrator mode. You will find the command line window, type there powercfg energy. Your system will start the analysis of 60 seconds.

During this period Windows will monitor two parameters, the use of system resources that is processor load and analyze the performance of the battery in power saving modes. When the program will terminate, it will tell you that we can read the report in a file called report.html, which can be open in our favorite browser.
The path for such file will be in C: \ Windows \ System32, and if your windows 7 has been installed in some other drive then replace C by the letter of the drive where you have installed Windows 7 or the same will appear in the powershell window too.

The report may show possible errors, which can be solved by updating a driver or uninstalling certain programs that impair the performance or the consumption of the computer.
Hope that the above tip will help you. Enjoy!
