- launch iTunes 8/9
- sellect the song.
- Right click on the song and choose get info
- go to “Option” tab
- Check both the “Start Time” and “End Time” boxes

- Click “OK” button
- make sure the song you had choose still highlighted
- Click on “Advanced”
- sellect “Create aac version”
- iTunes will crate a duplicate of the song in iTunes library.(with same filename but shorter time eg: 30 sec onds )
- Drag this duplicate song to your Desktop & save it.
- Go back to your Desktop . Right click the song & rename the file with the “.m4r” file extension
