Disable / turn off Vista SP2 Hibernate & save HDD memory, disable Wins7 hibernate, save HDD windows hibernate space, turn off XP hibernate
WIndows Vista SP2 Hirbenate is good. it lets you resume your work faster. However it also take up some memory spare from your HDD even you are not enable Vista SP2 Hibernate.
(about same size as your Vista SP2 system RAM eg: yor RAN is 2GB the it will reserve / use 2 GB of of HDD space as well)
Therefore for people have small Vista SP1 HDD namely 12oGB or less & seldom apply Vista SP2 Hibernate then you may opt to totally disable/ turn off Vista SP1/ SP2 Hibernate to save some memory / space on yor Vista SP2 system HDD.
Just follow bellow steps to stop / disable Windows Vista SP2/ Windows Xp SP3 / Windows 7 Hibernate function :
1. go to Windows Vista SP2/ XP SP3/ Wins7 Start menu
2. type CMd & hit enter
3.key in powercfg -H off.
4. Congratulate
you have successsfully turn off hibernate & remove the fileHiberfil.sys
5. you have free up few GB of your Hard disk space
